Full talk: The Exalted Status of the Prophet ﷺ

The companions were instructed on numerous occasions by Allah on how to speak, behave and conduct themselves with the Prophet ﷺ. Allah addresses all of the prophets in the Quran by name, but the Prophet ﷺ was regularly addressed by titles – even when Allah wanted to reprimand him.

These mannerisms were not because of serving the Prophet ﷺ, but were there to instil respect and reverence for him. This etiquette extends not just to the companions of the Prophet ﷺ but for all of his followers.

Find out in this excerpt how the companions behaved with the Prophet ﷺ and what Allah said to correct their behaviour.
