The dunyā is an abode created as a test for the believers and Allāh reminds us of that time and again. Allāh informs us that we will find settlement in His remembrance, not happiness or peace. Our lives are surrounded by difficulties and struggles. The happiness that we experience is only temporary and can not be forever. Trusting in what Allāh has planned for us and relying on him will allow a believer to remain settled regardless of the hardships they face.
The Prophet ﷺ went through many struggles; including death of his children as well as difficulties suffered from childhood. Despite these struggles, the Prophet ﷺ remained settled and at peace with the decree of Allāh.
