The Madinan Society: A Tafsir of Surat al-Hujurat Part 3

The Madīnan Society: A Tafsīr of Sūrat al-Ḥujurāt Part 3/12
Delivered by Shaykh Riyadh ul Haq on 29th April 2016 at Al Kawthar Academy, Leicester (UK)

After the Prophet ﷺ and his companions emigrated to Medina, Allah revealed laws with which Muslims must abide by so that they may live together peacefully. This Sūrat serves as a prime example of such intricate laws that detail not just how people should behave with one another, but how they should speak and think about each other.

This third lesson third lesson details our need to verify information that we receive. It was for this reason that verses were revealed as the Muslims were prepared to march against the Banu Mustaliq whom they thought had committed treason. Enquiring about matters, however, is not the responsibility of everyone. This talk will detail when and who should enquire information and what is the responsibility of everyone else.
