One of the greatest gifts that Allāh subḥānahu wa ta’ālā has bestowed upon us is the gift of time. The way we utilise this gift determines whether we are showing our appreciation for the gift of time or are ungrateful. If we were to gift someone and they verbally showed their gratitude, how would we feel knowing they then discarded this gift and did not use it for its intended purpose? Similarly the gifts of Allāh must be appreciated and used in the way that Allāh intended for us; not wasting it in the disobedience of Allāh.
