A Perfect State of Affairs?

An excerpt from the lecture, ‘The Pursuit of Perfection
Delivered by Shaykh Riyadh ul Haq on Sunday 16th December 2018 at Al Kawthar Academy, Leicester (UK)

Full talk: The Pursuit of Perfection

We are always seeking perfection in the world around us, including in politics and government, but the truth is that there will be no perfection in these things. A clear example of this can be found within the first few decades of Islamic history, where there was a civil war and many sahabah were killed unjustly by corrupt rulers.

Despite these turbulent times a believer should never become despondent and rather reflect on perfecting their own selves.

Find out in this excerpt the trials that were faced by many of the early generations of Muslims and what a believer should work on perfecting.
