An excerpt from the talk, ‘The Exalted Status of the Prophet ﷺ
Delivered by Shaykh Riyadh ul Haq on Friday 1st December 2017 at Al Kawthar Academy, Leicester (UK)

Full talk: The Exalted Status of the Prophet ﷺ

We do not pray to or worship the Prophet ﷺ, but he is part of our prayer; in salaah, in dua and in many other aspects of religion. This is part of the elevated mention Allah has bestowed upon the Prophet ﷺ.

Umar ibn al-Khattab r.a mentions that a person’s dua remains suspended between the heavens and the earth until they send their salutations to the Prophet ﷺ. This was the level of importance the sahabah held in praising the Prophet ﷺ.

Find out in this excerpt how a person must include the Prophet ﷺ when praying to Allah and how their dua may remain suspended until this has been done.
