Full talk: The Prophet’s ﷺ Love & Concern for his Ummah

Approximately 10 years after the beginning of revelation the Prophet ﷺ experienced the death of his beloved uncle, Abu Talib, as well as his wife Umm al-Muminin Khadijah r.a. The Prophet ﷺ was left to seek protection from a rival tribe of the Quraysh, the Banu Thaqeef. This tribe was situated in Ta’if and the Prophet ﷺ travelled alone seeking their support.

Within a short amount of time, the Prophet ﷺ received the same treatment that the Quraysh of Makkah had given him. The people of Ta’if hurled abuse at him, even physically assaulting him, which lead to the Prophet ﷺ leaving the city wounded and in a state of shock. Despite this treatment the Prophet ﷺ chose to remain patient and he prayed that the progeny of the people of Ta’if will eventually believe.

Find out in this excerpt the compassion of the Prophet ﷺ towards those people who had abused him and how his concern was for the entire ummah.
