Full Talk: The Madinan Society: A Tafsir of Surat al-Hujurat – Part 5

If there are two groups arguing or engaged in a dispute then what should we do? Should we stand back and spectate? Allah instructs us to reconcile between two conflicting parties so long as we are able and we remain sincere. The Prophet ﷺ demonstrated that on many occasions, including settling the disputes between the Aus and the Khazraj.

Shaykh Riyadh ul Haq details an incident he witnessed on his travels to India with his father’s teacher. The sincerity of this teacher allowed him to settle a dispute which had appeared on the streets of Bombay without any bloodshed. This was just one of many incidents that Shaykh Riyadh ul Haq relates about this teacher on his travels.
