Full talk: Benedictions & Salutations on the Prophet ﷺ

Sending salat and salam on the Prophet ﷺ should be part of the vocabulary of a believer. This tradition is commonly found within the Arab world where individuals recite durood for varying reasons. At times people are advised to recite salat and salam to help look for a missing item. On other occasions people recite salat and salam to plead clemency and soften the heart of another.

This habit has been developed over centuries and traces back to the various verses and ahadith encouraging believers to send their salat and salam upon the Prophet ﷺ.

Find out in this excerpt how salutations upon the Prophet ﷺ are sent and how some of these habits became part of Arab culture.
